Privacy Policy
Last updated August 2, 2026
This policy explains what Capsule collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short because the app itself is simple: it stores the clothes you choose to add and the trip boards you build from them.
What we collect
Account. If you create an account, we store your email address and an encrypted password, handled by our authentication provider (Supabase).
Your content. The items you add (names, categories, and photos), and the trips and looks you build. Photos you upload are stored in our file storage; when you sign in they sync so you can reach them from any device.
On your device. If you use Capsule without an account, your closet lives only in your browser’s local storage and is never sent to our servers.
How photos are handled
Background removal runs entirely in your browser, your photo is not uploaded to a third party to be processed. When you import an item from a store link, our server fetches that page and its product image on your behalf so your browser can display it; we don’t store the source page.
Sharing
A board is private until you publish a share link. Once published, anyone with the link can view that board and the pieces on it. You can stop sharing at any time, which disables the link. Your wider closet is never exposed by a shared board.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t share your closet with anyone. We use your content only to provide the app to you.
Your choices
You can edit or delete any item or trip at any time, which removes it from our records. To delete your account and everything in it, contact us and we’ll take care of it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
